Bishops Palace

Client: Waterford City Council
Designers: WTWO Design
Location: Waterford
Year: 2011

We completed the lighting design for Bishops Palace through W.TWO Design. Bishops Palace was the first feature lighting installation to be completed from W.TWO's Lighting Masterplan for the Viking Quarter of Waterford City. We used Agabekov LLN Linear xenon from the window sills to uplight the facade in a warm white lighting highlighting its architectural features. Inground uplighters were used to highlight the old city wall in front of the building and LED downlighting from the new benches in the garden to add a feature to the newly redesigned garden adjacent.
"Willie was an amazing help to us when we were renovating our house! He came to see the house when we were in the middle of renovations and very quickly sized up each room and told us to come to the showroom the following week to see some suggestions. He was exactly right with the choices and we didn’t change a single light fitting. You didn’t expect the lighting to be a difficult part of the renovation but we really didn’t know where to start and we couldn’t have done it without him. The light fittings we have in our home are so interesting and varied and fit in so well that everyone comments on them when they see the house for the first time. We are very grateful for all of Willie’s help and expertise."
